The Basics
GlobalConquest is all about dominating the globe. The objective is to fight your way across the planet, wiping out your opponent's armies. Each turn you will be given troop reinforcements, which you can place in any of your territories. In addition to attacking, you can also move troops between adjacent countries, to strengthen your attack next time.
Getting Started
On the My Games page, begin by clicking the link to create a game. Give your game a title, and then select some players to play with. These can either be people from your buddy list, strangers who are willing to play, or you can enter any old email address, inviting that person to become a member and play with you. Once all of your players have accepted the invitation, troops will be initially scattered randomly on the board. Each player will take a turn placing their "initial" troop deployments, usually around 30 troops. Simply click on a country of your color to place troops. You may not attack until all players have placed their initial deployments. After this round, the real game begins. You will be given some troops to deploy at the start of each turn. The number of troops is based on which land masses you completely control, and how many countries you have conquered. To attack, first click on a country you own (which you wish to attack from). Next, click on an adjacent enemy country. Select the number of troops to dedicate to the assault (all by default) and hit Ok! Behind the scenes there are a variety of dice rolls, determining how many troops are lost on each side. If you are victorious, you will now control that country! Otherwise, you will automatically retreat when you run out of troops.
Isn't This Just a Copy Of Ris---
Quiet! You want to get me sued?! Anyway, yes, it is very similar to another game involving global dominating, but there are also some important differences. The rules have been tweaked to make the game faster to play online. For example, there are no cards (sorry), and you may make 5 attacks per turn, and 3 troop movements per turn, at any point in your turn. Other than that, the dice rules and reinforcement rules are in fact the same.
